We are Cook & Co.

Since 2003, we’ve been providing Canberra and surrounds with the best quality food, cookware, cookbooks and cheese from Canberra’s only dedicated cheese room. Formerly The Essential Ingredient, long-time owners Claire and Kate felt their shop was ready for a fresh new look and so in 2024 Cook & Co was born.

We have a great range of specialty cheeses, from both Australia and around the world, freshly-roasted coffee, an excellent selection of the best culinary books and an extensive cookware range.

We stock the best locally-sourced products as well as a range of unique international foods. If you have a love for food and cooking, our shop is a must-visit for you.

Nestled in leafy Old Kingston at 25 Jardine Street, we are run by locals for locals and are here to assist with all your culinary needs. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff are passionate about food and always happy to provide advice, cheese recommendations or to just have a chat about cooking!

Here at Cook & Co, we are dedicated to offering quality ingredients to our customers and to the region — we also provide a wholesale service to Canberra’s best restaurants and prominent institutions.
